A radical academic collective at Arizona State University in Tempe, Arizona.

While we defy categorization, one might liken us to a neo-Situationist academic collective concerned with examining the history of the Anthropocene and finding ways to reconcile with living in its ruins. We approach our research in a variety of ways: from academic publications to multimodal presentations to guerrilla theatre.

a note about our name

Jรผrgen Schpengelheimer is Chair of the Department of Funk Studies at University of Colorado Boulder. Drawing on the theoretical workings of Horner and Haynie, Schpengelheimer has contributed intensely to the theoretical underpinnings of his discipline, pioneering such concepts as The Unternal Lacuna, Door-to-Door Secularity, and the Enmity of Friendship. When not being cryogenically frozen, he enjoys badminton and copious amounts of illicit drugs. Erik Stein says he's fake.

Of course, we are also playing with the name of another intellectual collective whose members were known to be troublemakers.
